It was a warm night in September in Boca Raton. Feeling contemplative and relaxed, I decided to walk to the pool area, and lay on my back on the concrete deck of the community hot tub with my feet in the hot water.
Relaxing and looking at the sky, I turned my head to the west, and saw a ball of light with a small tail (white light, yellowish orange around it and the tail) flying over the three-story apartment building heading down in my direction and continuing north, over the trees. It took a moment to register with me, and by the time I turned my head, following it over the trees, it just vanished. It had been moving maybe the height of two floors up, just over the trees, at a steady pace. Not too fast, not too slow.
This was not anything man-made, or anything I had ever seen before in my life. It was a ball of light with a tail. It changed altitude, and moved parallel to the Earth.
Another delightful, unexplained phenomena. xo
